This year’s Standard Chartered Marathon will take a hybrid format as it makes a return for the first time in two years.
Last year’s edition was cancelled due to Covid-19 and the organisers now say the 2021 event will be run physically and virtually to make it easy to comply with containment measures and protocols.
The physical race that will feature a maximum 2,500 participants will be along the Southern bypass, providing a picturesque view of the Nairobi National Park, for elite athletes on 31st October. Upto 13,500 participants are targeted virtually to promote healthy lifestyles and will be run between 25th and 30th October.
