Mombasa and Nyali golf clubs will on Friday, June 25th 2021 and Saturday, June 26th 2021 host the 2021 NCBA Golf Series respectively.
Over 200 golfers are expected to participate at both events, with winners from the tourneys automatically qualifying to play at the Series finale on December 3, 2021, at The Karen Country Club in Nairobi.
This is the first time the series hosts a back-to-back tournament since its launch in January 2021.
The Series has so far been played at Thika, VetLab, Kitale, and Sigona Golf Clubs.
Speaking ahead of the double-header, John Gachora, Group Managing Director, NCBA Group said: “We are pleased to be heading to the Coast this weekend for the fifth and sixth rounds of the 2021 NCBA Golf Series. This follows the success of the first four events on the calendar. Weather elements at the Coast present a different challenge for golfers, making this outing one to relish. We are looking forward to taking on the challenge that both golf clubs offer and trust that all golfers will enjoy themselves on the course.”
NCBA will conduct a tree-planting initiative as part of the Bank’s ‘Change the Story’ initiative – it’s one million indigenous tree nursery endeavour undertaken in partnership with the Kenya Forest Services.
Through the initiative, NCBA Bank will seek to encourage members across participating golf clubs to actively take up tree planting to attain 10 percent forest cover across the country by the year 2022.
The engagement kicked off at the Sigona Golf Club, where the Bank joined the Golf Club in planting trees as part of the Club’s reforestation initiative.
