Recently relegated Norwich City could start feeling the impacts of getting relegated sooner than expected as top clubs are coming for the club’s most promising players during the largely disappointing 2019-20 English Premier League season.

According to reports, Wolves are interested in the Canaries defender Max Aarons, which was already courted by topsides early on in the season. Norwich got Sam McCallum from Coventry City as a replacement.

The 20-year-old is rated at £20m and could also be joined on the exit by Todd Cantwell despite the confidence stated by manager Daniel Farke about the availability of the duo at the Carrow Road despite the drop to the championship.

Norwich City were confirmed relegated from the Premier League last week after losing 4-0 to West Ham United at the Carrow Road on the 11th of July.

Since then, Norwich City has lost to Chelsea and Burnley in its last two matches and will face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on the English Premier League’s final matchday.

Meanwhile, the manager of the Canaries Daniel Farke made his feelings known about the two red cards in the 2-0 loss to Burnley recently.

“They were discussing every decision of the referee, and I am not going to accuse them. But this is how a smart, established side reacts when they feel they have problems. We walked with open eyes into this trap. We reacted too emotionally, and we got two red cards. You can call it what you want – naivety, inexperienced, unprofessional, stupid. All the words fit. It is not acceptable and we will surely have to speak internally about these two red cards. They were vital factors why we lost this game.” Farke was quoted on Pinkun.

Norwich City will be hoping to get back to the Championship with the form that will enable them secure promotion as soon as possible.
