Luka Jovic is determined to return to Real Madrid in 2021

Real Madrid’s on-loan striker Luka Jovic has revealed his determination to return to the club after his loan spell at Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Serb moved to Real from Frankfurt in 2019 for a fee of €60 million after scoring 27 goals in 47 games in the 2018/19 Bundesliga campaign.

Unfortunately, Jovic scored just two goals in a year and a half into his time at the Los Blancos. After a poor run of a goal drought, the striker moved back to the Bundesliga on a six months deal in a bid to rediscover his goal-scoring form.

The Serbian international has now refused to dwell on his disastrous first 18 months at the Los Blancos.

“Failure is not an option for me. It never has been, Pressure is an essential part of any business. Especially in professional football. I have no problem with it. I like challenges, I love competing with the best. I know how much I am worth and what my qualities are.” Jovic said.

Real Madrid will need Jovic to rediscover his scoring form quickly once he returns as Zinedine Zidane’s side has had to dwell in Karim Benzema majorly for the goals.

The Los Blancos are in the third position on the La Liga table with five points behind Atletico Madrid who they played 1-1 draw with on Sunday in the Madrid Derby with French striker Karim Benzema equalizing for the Los Blancos after Luiz Suarez had given the home side the lead.

Zinedine Zidane’s side will play Elche in the La Liga at the weekend before playing the second leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie with Atlanta at the Alfredo di Stefano Stadium on the 16th of March.
