The Lautaro Martinez’s agents, Carlos Beto Yaque and Rolando Zarate have assured that the striker will be staying at the San Siro club.
This is following his link with Real Madrid and Barcelona.
The duo was seen entering the Inter headquarters on Monday afternoon. This has further sparked rumours they discuss offers from Spanish sides or a potential contract extension with the Nerazzurri.
They later came out of the building after under an hour. Speaking with the Italian media after the meeting, they claimed that it was just a courtesy visit.
Yaque stated clearly that there was nothing about the Real Madrid and Barcelona link, adding that the Argentine is staying here at the club.
It could be noted that Martinez’s release clause of €111m was only valid for a few weeks in July. Since it has now expired for this season, many European clubs will want to have him, especially Barcelona, after the imminent exit of Luis Suarez.
Sky Sport Italia reports that they will meet again when the summer transfer window closes to discuss a new and improved contract for the striker. According to multiple Italian sources, this could be a new €5m per season contract from Inter, which will be way off the supposed €10m wages proposed by Barcelona. The Catalan giant is unwilling to meet the asking price for his transfer fee.
Sport Mediaset reported that the Galacticos approached Martinez with an offer worth €100m cash but no proposal.
Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia also claimed that his agents are trying to shop him around in Spain. The agents were sighted in Barcelona last week. They might have as well passed on the message to Inter about the latest bid from the Spanish club.
Anything can still happen ahead of the October 5 when the transfer window will close.
