Kenya’s Harambee Stars have maintained their 23rd spot ranking in Africa and 104th in the world in the latest rankings by world football governing body – FIFA.
Senegal are the top footballing nation in Africa and 21st in the world with 1545 points, while Tunisia’s Carthage Eagles are now 28th globally behind the Teranga Lions as second best in Africa.
Sierra Leone and Eswatini improved their rankings as a result of their impressive results in friendly matches. The Leone Stars gained eight points to climb to 106th in the world, while Eswatini’s similar number of gained points saw them improve to position 146th globally.
Comoros, who are set for their Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon next year, are 38th in Africa (133rd in the world) in the rankings that see Belgium maintain top global spot.
