Kai Havertz ready for the next big challenge in his career

Bayer Leverkusen’s most prized asset Kai Havertz has admitted that he is prepared to take a big step in the next stage of his career.

Bayern Munich has been a long term admirer of the German international midfielder for over a year now, but his vast price tag [€90 million]  has been a stumbling block for the Bavarians from snapping him up.

Bayern, however, did not put will their eggs in a basket as they have also been weighing their options of Leipzig’s Timo Werner and Manchester City’s Leroy Sane as both remain a top target for the Bundesliga champions.

There have been earlier reports that Havertz will like to stay at the club for another season, at least. But the 20-year old has now said he is like a new challenge elsewhere and ready to move on to bigger things in his career.

If Havertz still wants to remain on the Bundesliga, then Bayern Munich will be his ideal destination, but he seems he has not ruled out a move abroad either as clubs throughout Europe have been monitoring him and wants to pay over the odds for his services.

He said, ” I am ready to take the next big step, and I love challenges a lot because it makes me better and explores new ways of improvement. Leverkusen remains a big club, which I respect a lot, but of course, I know a time like this will come for me to move on. My ambition is to take a step ahead in my career.”

Havertz also added that whoever is going to be his next manager will be a big decider in choosing which club he is going to play for the future.
