Lyon Sporting Director Juninho has said that the club is yet to receive offers for forward, Memphis Depay.
This is following reports that the Catalan club is interested in signing the Dutchman.
It is believed that Barcelona wants to offer 30m Euros for Depay, who will be delighted to move to the Spanish giant.
Speaking with Téléfoot Chaine following Lyon’s 2-1 loss against Montpellier, the Sporting Director, who had played for the Ligue 1 giant during his playing days, provided an update on the future Depay, amidst continued speculation.
It is gathered that Depay will favour playing under Ronald Koeman, who recently left his post in the Netherland national team. It was also gathered that he has spoken with Koeman, and both want to be together.
According to Juninho, the club is yet to receive a call to ask for the price for Depay. He said, provided Depay stays at the club, he will remain a happy player.
Meanwhile, Depay is yet to comment on the speculation; neither did the press have an opportunity to ask him anything about his future so far.
Juninho expects Depay to help Lyon have a good season, adding that they have received offers for have already left.
Meanwhile, 19-year-old Frenchman, Melvin Bard, has decided to sign a contract extension with the club.
This is a welcome development for Lyon that is on edge both on and off the pitch.
Bard, who is the backup left-back for the club, has been given a 3-year contract extension, and he has decided to sign the dotted lines. He will therefore be tied to Les Gones until June 2024.
The 19-year-old defender is behind Maxwell Cornet in the pecking order while he is ahead of Youssouf Koné.
Lyon is currently 11th on the log of the French Ligue 1 after three games.
