Resumption for action in the German Bundesliga has suffered a setback and to resume on a later date of the 16th of May as the earlier decisions have been suspended till Wednesday.

There have been earlier hopes that leagues in Germany have been given the green light to resume action as early as the 9th of May as the world continues to combat against the Pandemic spread.

The suspended decision which will have to resume next week will not take effect not until the 16th of May at least. Various clubs across Europe had recently made a return to the training ground thinking the season will kick off Saturday the following week.

However, all hope was crumbled on Thursday as discussions were halted following reports that there will be total lockdown restrictions of movement across the country due to the pandemic spread.

There are now general reports that Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel is planning on making stiffer rules once again after she had initially allowed schools, churches, shops to open.

The increase in Germany’s reproduction rate shows the number of average affected by the virus, which has created a landmark division between the growth and decrease.

Merkel revealed that clubs in the top two divisions would be required to provide a thorough test for each and every player before making a return to the pitch, which includes coach staff as well.

The German government strict rules during the COVID-19 pandemic have seen them contain the virus much better than other countries, but Merkel stressed that hospitals would be saturated if the rate increases further which means a lockdown will be looming ahead.
