Braga President Antonio Salvador revealed that Francisco Trincao who is set to complete a move to Spanish giants Barcelona in July will set the pace and “define a decade”.
“We have it at the back of our mind that we are going to lose one of our brilliant players, an athlete I consider on of the very best, someone who will define a decade from now and that player is Trincao “.
“As we all know he has been sold to Barcelona and I have the belief that almost the entire team will stay put at the club in the coming season. The squad will promote more players from the academy to mix with the senior players to gain more experience.” Salvador told reporters.
A vital thing that has helped Braga is the wonderful facilities they possess as this will breed more youngsters with exceptional talent as they will no doubt need a strong group of players that will help other players to blend in the senior squad.
Trincao agreed to a five year deal with Barcelona in January but will have to wait till June 1 to make the move to the Catalan based club. The youngster had already admitted that he can’t wait to play alongside Lionel Messi describing the World best as phenomenal and brilliant as he hopes to learn a lot from the Argentine.
If Trincao could impress manager Quique Setien he could get some playing time following the steps of Ansu Fati who has already been doing well for Barcelona.
