Bayern Munich’s search for talents across Europe seems to take a new turn as their next stop is Premier League side, West Ham, as they are keen on signing Benicio Boaitey.
The manner at which first-team recruitment is done at Bayern will make one surprise. However, the club’s aggressiveness towards scouting players at the Youth level ha been very clinical, and that shows how much work their scouts put in just to get the best of talents, and that has led them to the doorstep of a brilliant English prodigy.
Local reports emanating from Germany says that the Bundesliga defending champions is looking to sign Westham’s young asset Benicio Baker Boaitey. Bayern isn’t the only one interested. However, other clubs like Barcelona, Manchester United, and Liverpool are strictly monitoring the progress of the 16-year old.
Further reports also insisted that the young forward has turned down the Hammers offer for a new contract and seeking a new challenge elsewhere. If the move to Europe eventually happens during the summer, West Ham is likely to receive a compensation fee.
Boaitey is a fast and dangerous forward who has played across all age grades for West ham as he has just three appearances in the U-18 Premier League as well as some appearances at the England international level in lower groups.
English clubs boast of some brilliant talents, with most of them playing in the Bundesliga with the likes of Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, Ademola Lookman, Recce Oxford, and Schalke’s Jonjoe Kenny currently on loan have all shown consistency in the first team for their respective clubs.
With Hansi Flick at the helms of affairs for the club, the opportunity has been presented to the likes of Joshua Zirkzee, Sarpreet Singh, and host of other young players. Understandably, Flick is trying to mix the blend of young talents and the star players to create a perfect balance.
