Tottenham Hotspur defender,  Serge Aurier, has said that he would love to end his career with his former club, Paris Saint Germaine.

The former PSG right-back is, therefore, hoping to return to the Parc des Princes later in his career.

The Ivorian revealed this while speaking on Canal Plus Sports Africa. The 27-year-old defender had played for the Ligue 1 runaway leaders from 2014 to 2017 before moving to the White Hart Lane, signing a deal that will keep him in North London till 2022.

He admitted that his plan was to end his playing moment with his boyhood club because it remains his favourite club

Reacting to some people associating him with  at Marseille due to the recent comments he had made, the Ivorian said he was misquoted, and they didn’t get what he meant.

Aurier had begun his football career at RC Lens youth academy before moving to Toulouse. He later linked up with PSG and won 11 major trophies, which include two Ligue 1 titles with the current leaders.

After achieving several successes with the Paris club in the home front, Auruer said he still has a deep connection with them.

Aurie is a regular starter for Tottenham but added that he still has unfinished business in Paris. This, he said, is because of the love for the club.

Aurier’s last moment with the club was a controversial one after a fall out with the former coach Laurent Blanc.

While noting that it was a dream to move to PSG being is boyhood club, Aurier said it is still possible for him to end his career there, adding that it would be a pleasure for him to achieve that.

He further revealed that he still follows the club despite playing for Tottenham at the moment.

While noting that he would have stayed if not for what happened, the Ivorian said the Paris club would still remain his favourite, and that won’t change.

PSG is currently topping the log with 68 points from 27 games, and they are followed by Olympique Marseille with 56 points despite playing one more game than the leaders.

Rennes and Lille complete the top four with 50 and 49 points, respectively.
